Pathak elected Speaker for Bagamati Province Assembly
Makwanpur, Jan 13: Bhuwan Kumar Pathak has been elected the Speaker in the Province Assembly of Bagamati Province. He, the candidate from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, secured 62 votes in the voting held today to get elected on the post, according to PA senior most Ram Prasad Dhungana.
His competitor Shibaraj Adhikari from the Nepali Congress garnered 36 while Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party (NWPP)’s Sirjana Saiju got 3. A total of 109 members, out of 110, took part in the voting. (RSS)
