By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 31: A collection of Shiva hymns “Jiwan Muskuraunechha” was released amid a programme at the Academy Hall in Kathmandu on Thursday.
The album consists of eight hymns penned by Dr. Binu Baba Aryal. They are sung by Mohan K. Rai.
Yogendra Upadhyaya has composed the music while Biswa Adhikari, Subhas Joshi, composer Upadhyaya himself and Sanjiv Darnal have arranged the music of the album produced and promoted by Dash Music.
Speaking at the event, senior lyricist Dr. Krishna Hari Baral recalled that songwriter Aryal had written various books while being a teacher and said that she was equally successful in songwriting.
Stating that the devotional sentiments have been put into words in an excellent way.
Similarly, Chetan Sapkota, President of Musicians Association, said that although he does not believe in God, his faith in God has awakened after listening to the songs included in this album.
Speaking at the programme, lyricist Aryal said that she was devoted to Lord Shiva and because of that she bought the collection of hymns in the market.
Similarly, musician Upadhyaya said that he prepared the album in collaboration with Aryal to document his works. He said that he tried to create music according to the meaning of the words.
