Enterprise, employment fair begins in Sunsari

By Our Correspondent,Inaruwa, Dec. 24: Province 1 Chief Minister Rajendra Kumar Rai has said that everyone's cooperation is necessary to create employment in the country.

He made this remark while inaugurating the two-day "Career Counseling Enterprise and Employment Fair" organised by Duhabi Municipality of Sunsari on Friday.

Stating that in order to achieve the goal of development and prosperity, he said everyone's income level should be improved and the best way to achieve this is employment or self-employment.

"So, it requires everyone's support to create employment and make the country prosperous. Not only the government, but also non-governmental organisations, civil society, industrial establishments and the private sector should contribute to all the work, including employment and development," he said.

He said that since the country has entered a democratic republic, the provincial government will work hand in hand with all parties to provide the citizens with entrepreneurship and employment.

He expressed confidence that the fair was organised historically in Duhabi and that it would contribute to job creation to some extent.

In the opening programme, Bed Narayan Gachhadar, mayor of Duhabi Municipality, said the programme was organised with the coordination of Provincial Ministry of Agriculture, Technical Education and Vocational Training Council, Province 1, Manamohan Technical University, Confederation of Nepalese Industries, Province 1 and other institutions of Province 1.

There is a demand for skilled manpower from various industries and businesses, he said, adding that the career counseling and employment fair is organiwed with the intention of providing employment and self-employment to the locals at the local level.

Through the fair, students and youths will get career counseling services and unemployed youths will get employment in various industries and businesses. There are 55 stalls in the fair, including home-made pickles and clothes.

There are also stalls of educational institutions, including CTEVT and service provides that provide technical education.
