Vote counting in Myagdi to start from evening

By Thakur Prasad Acharya, Myagdi, Nov.21: The voting for the member of the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly (PA) election held on November 20, will start on Monday evening on Myagdi.  

Tej Prasad Poudel, Assistant Polling Officer said that vote counting in Myagdi will start only when the ballot boxes from polling centers in the Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-1, Gurga and ward 4, Mudi, Bagara, Myagdi district, will arrive. 

He said that it will take nine hours to bring ballot boxes from Gurga and Bagara to the district capital Beni.

Arjun Sharma, Assistant Chief District Officer said that ballot boxes from other polling stations besides Gurga and Bagara arrived at the counting place on Sunday night. 

Necessary preparations have been made for the voting counting at the office of the chief Electoral Officer established in a meeting hall of the District Coordination Committee. 

According to him, a team of officials and security personnel is bringing ballot boxes from the Gurga polling center to Beni on foot. While air service has been requested to fetch ballot boxes from the Bagara polling center. 

It is said that 50,625 voters have voted out of the total 86,120 voters in the six local levels and 45 wards of Myagdi on Sunday's election. 

The office of the Chief Electoral Officer said that voting took place in a peaceful manner in the district.
