Ballot boxes of Swamikartik- 1, Bajura, torched

By Sher Bahadur Sarki, Bajura, Nov.20: Ballot boxes of the election of the members of the House of Representatives (HoR) in the polling station in Swamikartik-1, Bajura district have been torched because of conflict between cadres of political parties.

District Election Office, Bajura said that two to four ballot papers were burnt with the lighting of ballot boxes. 

Nawaraj Awasthi, election officer at the District Election Office, Bajura, said that conflict arouse in many polling stations, however, voting was resumed in many of them except for three polling stations. 

He said, “Election in the Budiganga-8 and Budinanda-5 is yet to resume; however, efforts are underway to resume voting in all polling stations of Bajura district.”
