By Laxmi Chaudhary, Janakpurdham, Nov.20: The voting has resumed in Janakpurdham after facing some disturbances regarding the unethical entrance of people as helpers of people needing assistance while casting votes.

The contention between cadres of CPN (Unified Socialist) and CPN (UML) occurred after elderly and differently able people voted contrary to the agreement at Laxmi Secondary, Batteshwor Rural Municipality, polling station located in the constituency-4 of Dhanusha district.

Bhola Shrestha, a cadre of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party, said that a person, apart from a family member, went to assist three/ four people needing assistance to cast votes.

“Personnel from Nepal Police, Temporary police, and Armed Police Force (APF), have been stationed at the polling station,” said Prakesh Rai, Security in charge of the Laxmi Secondary polling station.

He said that voting has resumed in a peaceful manner.
