Exercise franchise with conscience: CEC Thapaliya

Commissioner (CEC) Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya has appealed to voters to exercise
their franchise with conscience.
Talking
to journalists after casting his vote from Lokanthali based Unique Nepal Academy
polling center in Bhaktapur this morning, CEC Thapaliya also said that voting
has started from 22,217 polling centers of 10, 892 polling station across the
country.
"Here
we started voting from a person with disability. This time, we have tried our
best to make voting centers friendly for physically challenged. Please,
facilitate for the senior citizens, pregnant and lactating women so that they
can cast vote easily," he said.
He said the voting started exactly at 7:00 in the morning
except for some exceptions in the Himalayan district across the country and
that all four members of family participated in the poll. He expressed
confidence that the voting will go on in a free, fair and peaceful environment.
He predicted with reference to local level election that
there will be 70 per cent voter turn out in this election of the members of the House of
Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly (PA).
