Gandaki Provincial Assembly (PA) from Nawalpur Constituency 1 Kha, Chok Narayan
Kafle (Narayan Kafle) has handed over his position of the vice-chairman of
Hotel Entrepreneurs Association, Nawalpur.
He did so citing that he will be unable to give time to the activities
of the Association as he will have to be busy in campaigning for the election.
Office bearers of the Association wished for Kafle's victory in the
programme held to hand over the responsibility of the vice chairman.
Santosh Rana, Chairman of the Association, expressed his hope that the
hotel entrepreneurs in Nawalpur will get rid of problems with Kafle's election
to the PA member.
PA election is slated for November 20.
Rana wished for Kafle's victory and thanked for stressing on development
of tourism and agriculture.
"I have chosen tap as my election symbol and my choice bears
special importance. I chose tap because Devchuli Drinking Water Sanstha is one
of the best in the country, and I want to purify politics and make it similar
to the pure water coming from a tap here," said Kafle sharing his views in
the programme.
Kafle has got multiple identities as an artist and entrepreneur. He is
also involved in different social organisations. Kafle runs Hotel Hatemalo Inn
at Daldale in Devchuli. He is vice president of Hotel Entrepreneurs
Association, Nawalpur, board member of Hatemalo Center, President of Lions Club
of Devchuli.
Kafle said that he rejected offers
from different political parties to file candidacy from their parties because a
party candidate should work under the party's instructions. "I have my own
vision and I like to work for the benefit of the people in my own way so I
chose to file candidacy as an independent candidate."
There are two constituencies of the House of Representatives and four constituencies of PA in Nawalpur. Kafle is competing with Lok Prasad Bhurtel, candidate of the ruling coalition from CPN (Maoist Center) and Roshan Gaha of CPN (UML) from Nawalpur 1 Kha for the PA member.
