By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 21: A total of 54 new cases (RT-PCR and antigen tests combined) of COVID-19 were confirmed on Friday while 54 people recovered from COVID-19.
In 1,013 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, a total of 48 people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its regular update on Friday.
Likewise, the virus infection was detected in six people in 1,467 antigen tests performed in the last 24 hours.
Currently, there are 721 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation.
So far, Nepal's COVID-19 death toll has reached 12,018.
