Kathmandu, April 25: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, and Deputy Chief of Mission from Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in New Delhi, India, Nermin Mesinovic today discussed the signing of labour agreement.
The two deliberated on the issue of sending Nepali workers to Bosnia and Herzegovina at the meeting held at the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, according to the personal secretariat of Minister Bhandari.
During the meeting, Deputy Chief of Mission Mesinovic put forth the proposal of accelerating the process of signing a bilateral labour agreement to import labour force from Nepal to Bosnia in light of the prospects of Bosnia emerging as a new destination of opportunities for Nepalis, shared the secretariat.
Likewise, Minister Bhandari reciprocated positively to the proposal and pledged to take forward the process for the bilateral agreement.
Furthermore, he appraised the visiting Deputy Chief of Mission Mesinovic that his Ministry, in the recent time, was doing the needful homework regarding the signing of bilateral labour agreement with various countries in Europe so as to ensure foreign employment to the Nepali workers.
The Minister also informed that his ministry had taken an initiative to provide necessary trainings to the aspiring Nepali migrant workers to send them to foreign labour destinations as skilled human resources.
He assured the Deputy Chief of Mission that if there is a demand for skilled human resources from Bosnia, Nepal will train the aspirants and send them to Bosnia accordingly.(RSS)
