University a major foundation for research, innovation and social transformation

Karnali, April 26: Chief Minister of Karnali Province Yamlal Kandel has said that a university is a major foundation for research, innovation and social transformation. 

   
Inaugurating an international conference on 'Shaping the Future: Trends in Education, Society and Business in a Changing World' organized by the Mid-West University on Friday, the Chief Minister stated that a university is not merely a place for teaching but a platform of research, innovation and social transformation.    

Kandel also appreciated the move initiated by the Mid-West University to organize this conference adding that such events would help institutionalize this university at national and international levels.    

He expressed his confidence that the ideas and findings of the conference would be crucial for offering contributions to the development and prosperity of Karnali Province along with the academic excellence of the university.    

The academic event is aimed at uniting scholars, educators, researchers and stakeholders across various fields to promote learning, collaboration, and innovation.    
The conference has the participation of scholars from different countries including Nepal, India, USA and others.    

According to the Mid-West University, the interdisciplinary gathering is expected to provide a platform for academic advancement through targeted workshops and dynamic sessions.    

There will be panel discussions on Industry-Academic Collaboration, Social Responsibility for Good Governance, and Reimagining Professional Development and Pedagogical Growth. (RSS)
