Kathmandu, Oct. 19: Chamber of Industries, Morang (CIM) has selected 17 new business ideas as startup entrepreneurs this year.17 young entrepreneurs have been selected for the second batch of the startup and innovation programme conducted by the CIM since last year with the aim of facilitating the transition of young people with new ideas and concepts into entrepreneurship.
There are six women and 11 men among the new entrepreneurs selected this year, according to a press statement of the CIM.According to the CIM, the selected startups were put in a 4-day boot camp from October 13 to 16 and business health check-up was completed and match-making was done with mentors and business coaches.
A total of 18 mentors, five business coaches and six startup fellows have also been selected under the programme to help new entrepreneurs, said Surendra Golchha, coordinator of the CIM's startup programme committee.
He said that there is a programme that will facilitate the necessary investment while providing business services.
For the implementation of the programme, the organisation has collaborated with the Ministry of Industry, Labour and Employment of the provincial government, Biratnagar Metropolitan City, Swiss Contact, Asaman Nepal, Purbanchal University, Nabil Bank Limited, Nepal Youth Entrepreneurs Forum and others.
