By Pushkar Bhandari, Dadeldhura, Oct. 9: Prime Minister and
Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s nomination for the election to
the member of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been filed from Dadeldhura.
PM Deuba’s spouse and NC leader Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba reached the
office of the chief election officer to register Deuba’s candidacy Sunday afternoon.
PM Deuba’s candidacy has been proposed by NC district secretary
Hemraj Chataut and backed by district vice-president Dilliraj Joshi, according
to chief election officer Bal Krishna Wagle.
Dr Rana arrived in Dadeldhura to register the PM’s candidacy on
Saturday.
Rebel candidate of CPN (UML) Bikram Shahi, independent
candidate Sagar Dhakal, Karna Singh Rawal and Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s
Govind Raj Khadayat have also registered their candidacies from the same
constituency.
Karna Bahadur Malla, former personal
secretary of PM Deuba and also former district president of NC, is also said to
be preparing for registering his candidacy from the same constituency as a candidate
from Congress BP party.
