A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, July 28: Different national and
international educationists have been honored with awards established in the
name of the first President of Nepal Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, and the former president
of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
The awards were handed over on the occasion of the
fourteenth international educational conference held in Nepal.
President International Education Award is given in
the name of president Yadav and the Outstanding International Education Award in
the name of president Kalam.
The honour was given to educational experts,
principals, educators, and education journalists from different countries
including Nepal and India.
Pampha Bhusal, Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and
Irrigation, presented the award on Wednesday amidst a ceremony jointly
organised by Himakshara named international organisations of India and
Shikshalaya National Monthly of Nepal.
At the programme, Minister Bhusal said that it is
necessary to practice international learning in Nepal's education sector. She
emphasized the need to institutionalise the efforts made in Nepal for
quality education and provide access to universal education.
