24-hour emergency service in Birendra Bazaar

Vijaya Kumar Sah Dhalkebar, July 4: Ganeshman Charnath Municipality of Dhanusha district has launched a twenty-four-hour emergency treatment service. The health post located at Birendra Bazaar, the headquarters of the municipality, has started the service.

Mayor Jit Narayan Yadav formally inaugurated the service amid a programme on Monday. Inaugurating the programme, Yadav said that now the need to travel to Janakpur, 40 km away, for emergency treatment has come to an end.

Earlier, the people of this place had to face many problems in lack of a 24-hour emergency treatment facility, but now they will get one any time, he added. 

He said that he is working giving priority to education, health, drinking water, development, and prevention of illegal river mining.

The emergency treatment service, along with lab facilities, has been started, said Jayakumar Goit, head of the health branch of Ganeshman Charnath Municipality. 

He stated that the facilities were being provided from the same room from where emergency service is being delivered but that will be shifted to the new building once its construction gets completed. 

Goit said that they are improving their management to provide treatment services to patients in an easy and simple manner .

Similarly, Mithila Municipality in the district has also launched 24-hour emergency treatment services. 

The health post at Dhalkebar is going to be upgraded, and the emergency treatment service with a lab and x-ray facilities is going to come into operation.

Mahendra Mahato, Mayor of Mithila Municipality, said that a building has been prepared for the operation of emergency services and, as the work of health equipment management is under way, it will come into operation within the month of July.
