Weather: Possibility of heavy rain, precaution suggested

Kathmandu, July 12 : The weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country with chances of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder at some places in the hilly region and at a few places in the rest of the regions, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said.    

The Department also said there is the possibility of heavy rain at one or two places of Province No 1 and Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, warning of a risk of soil erosion, landslide, and debris flow in the hilly region and of a rise in the water level in rivers and seasonal streams.

It has urged citizens to adopt necessary precautions as the daily life and transport sectors might be affected due to this.    

The weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country tonight with chances of light to moderate rain at a few places and of heavy rainfall at or one or two places in the Sudarpaschim province. (RSS)
