168 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed today

Kathmandu, July 11: Coronavirus cases are increasing day by day in the country. As many as 168 people tested positive for the contagion on Monday alone. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), the new cases of coronavirus were detected while conducting 3,020 tests. It may be noted that the country recorded 121 new coronavirus cases on July 10. 

Similarly, thirty-seven people recovered from the virus during the period. 

There are 770 active cases of coronavirus in the country. With this, the number of people so far recovered from the coronavirus has reached 967,724. The recovery rate as of now is 98.7 per cent, according to the Ministry. 

The Kathmandu Valley has more than 200 active cases of coronavirus. A total of 749 infected are in home isolation, 21 in institutional isolation, 12 are in ICU and one is on ventilator support, according to the MoHP. (RSS)
