Employment fair to be held in Damak

By Our Correspondent  Damak, June 22: Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Damak has stated that all preparations have been completed for the first-ever employment fair to be held in Damak, Jhapa on Thursday.  

Gokul Shrestha, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Damak said that the fair is being organised by the chamber with the support of Damak Municipality.

Speaking at a press conference held on Tuesday, Shrestha said that the fair was expected to bring together employers and job seekers.

Bharat Chamlagain, coordinator of the main organising committee of the employment fair, said during the fair, an interaction would be held to discuss employment identification and opportunities at the local level. 

Former President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Vice President of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce Chandiraj Dhakal, Senior Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Chandra Prasad Dhakal and industrialist Bholeshwor Dulal will attend the event, said Chamlagain. 

So far, more than a dozen business firms and employers have coordinated with the organiser, he added.  According to Chamlagai, Damak Municipality has also committed to provide employment-oriented training for at least one year to 20 participants through Damak Polytechnic Institute.
