Banepa, June 3 (RSS): Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba
urged the Kathmandu University (KU) to enable an environment that provides quality
education to the youths as per their interest and the demand of the world market so
as to end educational unemployment and brain drain.
PM Deuba, also Chancellor of the
KU, said so addressing the second phase of the 27th convocation at Dhulikhel in
Kavrepalanchowk district today.
Deuba argued that unless the brain
drain was curbed and educational unemployment was ended, a bright future could
not be ensured for the country.
Arguing that youths were the agent
of change and development, he urged the graduate students in the University to
pay attention to the development and bring about good changes in the
country.

was ready to facilitate and support the University for the same.
He expressed his confidence that KU
had helped increased the reputation of the education sector in the country and
spread it across the world.
He lauded the University for
continuing its activities as per its educational calendar amid the COVID-19
pandemic and for producing skilled human resources to prevent brain drain.
The Head of the Government urged
the University to further support the social-economic development of the
country in the coming days by producing quality human resources in the field of
minerals mobilization, processing, hydropower management, climate action, and exploration of organic herbs and research among others.
