Parliamentary committee endorses proposed ambassadors to Sri Lanka and Denmark

Kathmandu, May 24 (RSS): The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has unanimously endorsed the names of the proposed ambassadors to Sri Lanka and Denmark.    

The Committee at its meeting today approved the proposed ambassador to Sri Lanka, Basudev Mishra and the proposed ambassador to Denmark, Prof Dr Ram Swartha Raya.    

Complaints were received against Mishra and Raya among the 20 names proposed by the government for an ambassadorial appointment.    

Eighteen names against which no complaint was received have been endorsed before this, Committee president Laxman Lal Karna said. He added that the meeting unanimously endorsed the names of the two proposed ambassadors as well since the complaints against them were found irrelevant.
