Eight new cases, 16 recoveries in last 24 hours

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 23: Additional eight persons have been found infected with the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, eight persons tested positive for the virus in the PCR test of 2,233 persons.

Additional two persons tested positive for the virus in the antigen test of 535 persons.

In the meantime, 16 people got over the virus infection and there was no COVID-19-related fatality in the past 24 hours.

There are 133 active cases of COVID-19 in the country as of today.

31,388 people were administered the vaccine against COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, according to the MoHP.
