Public transport fare hiked

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 17: The Department of Transport Management has hiked the fare of the public transport starting from tomorrow, May 18.

According to a notice of the Department issued on Tuesday, the fare has been increased by 3.5 to 5.1 per cent owing to the price hike in the petroleum products including diesel.

Passenger vehicles fare is hiked by 3.5 per cent, the fare of goods carriers in hills is increased by 4.6 per cent while the fare of the goods carriers in the plains, Tarai, is increased by 5.1 per cent.
