UML wins chair, NC wins vice-chair in Bandipur Rural Municipality

By Amar Raj Naharki, Tanahun, May 17: CPN (UML) has won chair while the candidate of Nepali Congress has won vice-chair in Bandipur Rural Municipality, Tanahun.

Surendra Thapa, a UML candidate for chair received 3,229 votes while the main opponent Purna Singh Thapa from CPN (Maoist Center) received 3,166 votes.

Similarly, NC vice-chair candidate, Pancha Maya Gurung has won by just two votes against the opponent Karuna Gurung, candidate of CPN (MC).

Pancha Maya Gurung received 3,027 votes while Karuna Gurung has received 3,025 votes. 

In Bandipur, which has six wards, UML won in three wards, wards 1, 4, and 6 while CPN (MC) won in wards 2 and 5. Meanwhile, Nepali Congress won in ward 3 only.
