Govt. declares holiday on Friday for local poll

Kathmandu, May 9: The government has decided to grant a public holiday on Friday, May 13, the day of the local level election.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Sunday took a decision to this effect.

Issuing a press release on Monday, Home Ministry spokesperson Phanindra Mani Pokhrel said that all government offices and public agencies in the country were given a public holiday for Friday, May 13, the day of voting for the local poll.
