PM to address election rallies from today

By A Staff Reporter  Kathmandu, May 4: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba is touring the country for a week beginning from Wednesday to address election rallies of the Nepali Congress.

According to a decision of the Nepali Congress Local Level Election Central Mobilisation Committee, PM Deuba and other NC leaders will address 10 rallies in total from Biratnagar in the east to Dadeldhura in the west in a week from May 4 to May 10.

In a statement issued by Chief Secretary of Nepali Congress Central Office Krishna Prasad Paudel on Tuesday, PM Deuba will address a rally in Biratnagar on Wednesday. 

Senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel, general secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma and other leaders will also address the rally in Biratnagar. 

The PM and leader Paudel will reach Bharatpur on Thursday to address another election rally. 

Prime Minister Deuba will address the election rally in Kathmandu on Friday.

He is scheduled to address three election rallies on Saturday, in Butwal at 11.00 in the morning, in Damauli, Tanahun, at 12.30 and in Janakpur, Dhanusha at 2.00.

Likewise, on Sunday (May 8) the PM will address two rallies—one in Pokhara at 11.00 in the morning and in Dang at 2.00 in the afternoon. 

The PM will address another rally in Kailali on May 9 before wrapping up his tour after addressing one in his home district Dadeldhura on May 10.

Besides PM and Paudel, vice president Dhan Raj Gurung, General Secretaries Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma and joint general secretaries will also address these rallies.
