By Binay Karn, Kalyanpur (Saptari), Mar.7: District Police Office, Saptari, has arrested two youths for forging a citizenship.Police have arrested them on charges of money laundering by forging citizenship and attaching their photo on the victim's citizenship to make it look theirs. The detained are identified as Arun Kumar Yadav, aged 20, of Rajbiraj Municipality-12 of Saptari district, and Abhishek Yadav, aged 28, of the same place.According to Saptari Police Superintendent of Police (SP) Dhakendra Khatiwada, Arun and Abhishek found the citizenship of a victim in June, 2023, took out the victim's photo, pasted their photo, opened an account at Citizens Bank in Biratnagar, and defrauded other people of millions of rupees.SP Khatiwada said that they were arrested and remanded in custody by the District Court, Saptari, following a complaint filed against them at the office for citizenship-related offenses and fraud. Investigation into the matter is underway.

Gandaki, March 7: The Lions Club International Foundation has provided health equipment worth Rs 8 million to Dhaulagiri Eye Hospital, Baglung. Club's Director Bal Krishna Burlakoti handed over the equipment necessary for eye treatment to Chairman of Netra Jyoti Sangh Baglung chapter Bindu Sagar Rajbhandari and announced the beginning of the assistance project. Director Burlakoti said the assistance was received to provide quality eye treatment services to the local people Baglung, Parbat, Myagdi, Mustang, Gulmi and Arghakhanchi districts. Likewise, he promised to extend additional support in the future for upgradation of Dhaulagiri Eye Hospital, one of the large health facilities for eye care services in Gandaki Province.
