Kathmandu, May 12: President Ramchandra Paudel and his spouse Sabita Paudel conducted worship at Lhakhang monastery of Bouddha, Kathmandu on the occasion of the 2569th Buddha Jayanti this morning. They worshipped the Lord Buddha, went around the Bouddha monastery, and had a sight of invaluable remains- astudhatu. The Buddhist devotees have thronged the monastery since early morning. The Bouddhanatha and Melamchi Ghyang Guthi organize a function for rare sight of the astudhatu. Buddha Jayanti is celebrated with veneration at various Buddhist shrines like Lumbini, Bouddha, Swayambhu, Namo Buddha and other monasteries across the country today. (RSS)
