Rainfall likely in Koshi and Madhesh provinces
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places of Koshi and at one or two places of Madhesh Province along with the hilly region of the country today. There are also chances of light rainfall and snowfall at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.

Helicopter crash-lands near Kedarnath in India
A private helicopter crash-landed on Saturday in the Badsau area of Rudraprayag district soon after it took off from the Sirsi helipad used to take pilgrims to Kedarnath, India. As per the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the private chopper was Kestrel Aviation’s AW119 helicopter. It experienced a hard landing on the road adjacent to the Bharasu helipad.

India's active COVID cases rise to 5,755; pregnant woman among 4 dead
India’s active COVID-19 case tally rose to 5,755 with 391 fresh cases reported in the past 24 hours, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare released on Saturday morning. At least four deaths were reported in the same period. Of the four deaths reported in the past 24 hours, one each was recorded in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. The deceased included a 45-year-old woman with a nine-month pregnancy. The other three were elderly with previous health conditions like hypothyroidism and respiratory conditions.
