COVID in India: Over 2,700 active cases, 22 deaths
India's active Covid-19 cases reached 2,710 on May 30, with a daily increase of 511. Seven deaths were reported across states, raising the total since January 1, 2025, to 22. Kerala remains the most affected, followed by Maharashtra and Delhi, which saw a significant case spike. Recoveries improved, with 255 patients discharged.
Karnali Highway to be closed for four days from June 3
The Karnali Highway will remain closed for four days. The traffic movement will be fully halted from coming Tuesday in order to repair the road in the Kalalu-Lalighat section. The road closure will directly inconvenience the people, especially from Kalikot, Bajura and Humla districts.
