Tamang, an inhabitant of Namkha Rural Municipality-3, Khagalgaun in Humla and recently residing in Tinchuli, Kathmandu, had believably joined the Gen Z protests on September 8 and 9.

Disaster incidents leave 243 people dead during last six months
The incidents have affected a total of 6, 590 households, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) informed. During the reporting period, 243 people lost their lives while 869 sustained injuries in the disaster related incidents. Likewise, 24 people went missing in such incidents.

Home Ministry establishes help desk
The Home Ministry has established a support desk to control the unruly activities that may occur in society, following the 'Gen-Z' protests and the subsequent developments. On Friday, the Ministry's Assistant Spokesperson and Information Officer Rabindra Acharya informed that the Ministry has set up the support desk to quickly respond to people's problems and suggestions in the aftermath of the 'Gen-Z' movements.
Two Nepali nationals rescued from Ukraine border
Two Nepali citizens, one from Rautahat and the other from Baglung, who had been held in confinement near the Ukraine border, have been rescued. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jaya Prakash Sah from Rautahat and Sandesh KC from Baglung were rescued in coordination and initiation of the Nepali Embassy in Berlin, Germany.
'Over 8,800 inmates still absconding'
Inmates from 27 jails across the country escaped during the Gen-Z protest on September 8 and 9. Similarly, children from nine Juvenile Correction Centres were also found to have escaped. Director of the Department of Prison Management, Chomendra Neupane, said out of the total 29,212 inmates, 13,591 inmates and 964 children, out of 1,422, had escaped.

The constitution provides for independent constitutional bodies. It maintains checks and balances among the executive, legislature, and judiciary, empowering institutions like the Election Commission, Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, and National Human Rights Commission. These bodies are expected to strengthen democracy and prevent misuse of power.

Vehicles damaged during arson inside Singha Durbar being managed
Vehicles that were damaged during the recent arson attacks in the Singha Durbar area amid the Gen-Z demonstrations are now being managed, according to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.
Changing faces of Nepal's constitutionalism
The country is now being guided towards and ruled under four aspects of constitutionalism to fill out the deteriorating constitutional order being plunged into deep political and legal crises. The first aspect is the Constitutionalism in Crisis which simply aims to give the country a legitimate government to reestablish law and order, and restore normalcy. The second aspect may be called Operational Constitutionalism that the new government has to make the government institutions functional and win the confidence of the people through delivery of basic services.
