Bhojpur, Jan 7 : The establishment of basic health centre at Temkemaiyung-5 in the district has benefitted the villagers, especially from Majhaule and Cholanti. The people from these villages were facing hardship for long to access health service. The geographical difficulty was posing a severe challenge before them to reach the health facility. They had to walk for four hours to access even the basic health services. Now, they have felt huge relief with the establishment of basic health centre. A local Ram Bahadur Bista informed that they were happy to have health centre at their locality. Earlier, they trekked for long even to receive cetamol and jeevan jal (oral rehydration salt), he added. "The days of hardship are no more. The health centre is providing us necessary medicines," Bista shared with happiness. Similarly, Adiman Bista recounted those days of difficulty that they used to walk for hours to reach ward no 4 and 9 for basic medicines. Vice Chairperson of rural municipality, Rama Devi Rai, informed that they took initiatives to establish the basic health centre in view of the problems faced by Majahule and Cholanti people. Other distant places of the rural municipality were also getting such health centres. She further said the locals were elated to have health facility at their village. (RSS)
