The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office (KVTPO) has started a campaign to remove verses from vehicles citing that they cause distractions and led to accidents. Issuing a statement on Thursday, the traffic police said that they have started a campaign to remove verses which are obscene, unacceptable, demoralising and against the prevailing laws.

Basnet says, "The land has been washed away. We are struggling to save people from the natural calamities." Many people like Basnet are especially at risk of landslides when the rainy season starts.
Locals of Adanchuli Rural Municipality in Humla district have been crossing the mighty Karnali River by means of a tuin, a traditional wire bridge, for the past five years. "We are still using the tuin to cross the river even if it is unsafe because we have no other option," said Junraj Mahatara, a local from Ward No. 1 of Adanchuli. The tuin is being used in Domukha, an area along the Karnali River separating Humla and Mugu districts. The tuin was constructed after the locals' request for a suspension bridge there continued falling on deaf ears.
A 132 kV double-circuit transmission line has come into operation from Yogikuti (Butwal) to Mainhiya to improve power supply and control technical leakage in Bhairahawa area of Rupandehi district. Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has brought 18km Butwal-Lumbini transmission line from Butwal substation to Mainhiya substation into operation by flowing electricity since Wednesday.

Minister for Finance Janardan Sharma has resigned after the formation of a parliamentary special probe committee that will look into the alleged entry of an unauthorised outsider into the Budget and Programme Division of the ministry during the formulation of the budget for the fiscal year 20022/23. Over the past couple of weeks, Sharma had been facing tremendous pressure from different sections of the society with the dissemination of some media reports that tax rates in the budget were manipulated with the involvement of that unauthorised person. The main opposition CPN-UML had raised the issue in the federal parliament, accusing Sharma of using the unknown person in the budget preparation process.

Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Jeevan Ram Shrestha has said that his ministry will work to promote nature-based tourism. Speaking at a programme organised to release a documentary "Women's Voice from the Himalaya" organised by SaathSaathai on Wednesday, Minister Shrestha said that the ministry is going to start a campaign of waste management in the Himalayas to manage tourism well as to help minimize ice melting.
Gunjan is scheduled to be released on January 13 next year. Production unit of the film has reached an agreement with GGA Group to distribute the film in Kathmandu while FD Company is given the responsibility to distribute it outside the Kathmandu Valley.
It is expected that there are around 15,000 electric rickshaws operating in Nepalgunj and nearby areas. However, none of the authorities has details about the three-wheelers. Excessive numbers of e-rickshaws on the road have also led to traffic congestion across the city. In an effort to properly manage them, Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan City has decided to register and manage the three-wheelers.
Construction of metalled road, under market management project, has started at Simkot Bazaar, district headquarters of Humla. Narendra Rawat of Simkot Rural Municipality-5 said that the construction was being carried out from the Sunvalley Hotel area. He added that the sewage is also being managed alongside the construction.
