Growing Political Culture
If we look back at the immediate political history of Nepal, we find that we surpassed two types of political system - tyrannical rule of Ranas and pseudo-democratic rule of Shahs. During the Rana regime, people could not share their thoughts with one another. We could not speak even on issues affecting our daily life and atrocities created by rulers and their agents -- landlords and Mukhiyas, the local representatives of the rulers.

Low food stock in warehouse, possibility of shortage in Humla
The stock of food grains in the warehouse of the Humla depots of the Food Management and Trading Company Limited is low. Even though four months have passed since the beginning of the current fiscal year, the new quota of food grains could not be transported owing to the lengthy transportation process, increasing the possibility of food shortage in the district. Krishna Prasad Adhikari, chief of Humla branch of FMTC, said that the stock of food grains in the warehouse is very low.
President Bhandari returns home
President Bidya Devi Bhandari has returned home from Iceland on Saturday morning. Upon her arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, she was received by Vice-President, Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chairman of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina and other high-ranking officials of the Government of Nepal.
