The minimum temperature in Limi, a village in Humla, has dropped to minus 22 degrees Celsius. Known as the village beyond the mountains, Limi experiences literally freezing temperatures every winter. Fish species in Shuklaphanta reserve up twofold: Study
Altogether 53 species of fish have been added to Shuklaphanta National Park (SNP) in Sudurpaschim Province. The number of species has reached 88 now in the park, which is also called Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve. A study conducted by the park in 2020 has shown that fish species have increased almost by twofold from previous study, which confirmed that there were 35 species of fish there.

Elephant damages house of journo
An elephant has damaged the house of Surendra Bhandari, a member of the Province 1 Committee of the Federation of Nepali Journalists. A herd of 14 elephants came to his locality in Pratibha Chowk, Barhadashi Rural Municipality–3, Jhapa, at 1 am on Tuesday and ripped the roof off Bhandari’s house. The roof was made of corrugated zinc sheets. Bhandari is the associate editor of Purwanchal Daily, a newspaper published from Jhapa.
