Moderate rainfall likely in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki today

Kathmandu, May 18: Moderate rainfall and snowfall is possible at some places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi Province, at a few places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces today. Furthermore, light rain with thunder and lightning is possible at one or two places in the Tarai and the rest of the mountainous and hilly areas of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, at present, Nepal is under the influence of westerly winds and local winds. Temperatures are likely to increase in the Tarai areas of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces.

Tonight, the weather will remain generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, and partially cloudy in the rest of the mountainous and hilly areas. The weather will remain mainly clear in the Tarai region. 

However, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces. (RSS)
