One more dies from complication after eating wild mushroom in Chitwan

Chitwan, May 17:  Eleven-year-old Sanjay Chhepang, who fell ill after consuming wild mushrooms on May 12, died on Saturday evening while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital. 

The five-member family of Shyam Bahadur Tamang of Kulbang, Ichhakamana Rural Municipality-1 had cooked and eaten wild mushrooms last Tuesday. Three children became ill after toxic intake. 

Earlier on May 15, nine-year-old Namuna Chepang succumbed to complications caused by the poisonous mushroom at Bharatpur Hospital, while Sanjay died the following day, according to District Police Office's deputy superintendent of police Rabindra Khanal. 

Thirteen-year-old Manita Chepang is being treated the Bharatpur Hospital in a critical condition, it is said.  (RSS)
