ICC Cricket World Cup: Nepal taking on the US today

Kathmandu, May 16: Nepal and the United States (US) are competing today in a match under the ICC Cricket World Cup League–2.     

The match to be held at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur will start at 9:30 am today.     

In the ongoing series between Nepal, the United States, and Scotland, two matches have been completed so far. Scotland has won both matches.     

In the first match, Scotland defeated Nepal by two runs under the Duckworth-Lewis method, and in the next match, Scotland also beat the United States by two runs applying the same method.     

In the ICC Cricket World Cup League–2 points table, Nepal is in seventh place. To qualify for the World Cup Global Qualifier, Nepal must now win all remaining 11 matches, and to retain One Day International status, it is necessary to stay in the top six positions.
