Fire breaks out in two industries in Jhapa

By TRN Online, Jhapa, April 14: Fire has broken out in the two industries located at Birtamod Municipality-4, Jhapa district. 

According to the Information Officer of the District Police Office, Jhapa, Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, a great deal of destruction has been caused by the fire. 

Fire broke out simultaneously at Jhapali Chips Factory operated by the Bhakti Prasad Upreti and Saugat Kastha Furniture of Chandra Prasad Kharel at around 4:15 this morning.

As per the preliminary investigation, around Rs 10 million has been destroyed by the burning of raw materials, prepared materials, and machinery equipment in both factories. 

Fire has been doused with the help of Area Police Office, Birtamod, the police team of Armed Police Base Camp, Sanicheor, fire brigade provided from Birtamod, Bhadrapur, Mechinagar Municipalities, along with the locals.  

The reason of the fire is yet to be ascertained. (Translated from RSS Nepali)
