Karnali festival: Kuda Karnali kicks off in Surkhet

Karnali, April12: The seventh edition of 'Karnali festival: Kuda Karnali' kicked off in provincial capital, Surkhet on Saturday.

Thorough discussions are held on struggles and development works in Karnali, according to Rhiti Foundation, organizer of the event.  Organizing committee coordinator Kamal Lamsal informed RSS that the festival is a special event that aims at fostering dialogues on development and prosperity of Karnali Province. 

"Marginalized people, women leadership, holy places, stories of struggles and achievements, Gen Z and its movement, indigenous treatment method of upper Karnali, energy and technology are some of the prominent topics debated during the festival," he added.     

Former minister Madhav Prasad Chaulagain also informed that the Karnali festival has been developed as a common platform to dwell deep into Karnali's geography, culture and potential. The seventh edition of the event will be utilized as a moment to foil public disenchantment and pave way for equitable progress.

There are 15 sessions running through the 3-day event where people from various walks of life will make presentations and attendance. (RSS)
