By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 7: The government
has decided to discount fuel tax by 50 per cent.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers held today
at Singh Durbar made a decision to this effect, according to Pratibha Rawal,
Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration; Land Management,
Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation.
Similarly, the government decided to appoint Gunakhar Bhatta to the post of vice chairperson of the National Planning Commission (NPC) and Kiran Pandit to the post of deputy governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).
It is expected that the government decision to cut the fuel tax would help stabilise the soaring fuel price.
