24 miscreants nabbed from Kakadbhitta entry point

Jhapa, April 7: The Jhapa Police arrested 24 people on charges of defrauding people acting as intermediaries and harassing travelers from the Kakadbhitta entry point in Jhapa district. The intermediaries were nabbed from the bus park, customs and market area in Kakadbhitta. 

Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, the spokesperson of District Police Office, Jhapa said that all the arrestees are men and were held for misbehaving with passengers, patients and travelers. 

Khadka added that all those arrested are under investigation and legal actions will be initiated. 

In recent days, the Nepal Police has been conducting operations in different districts against those causing trouble in the name of public service delivery, engaging in intermediary activities at bus parks, airports, transport offices and other public spaces. 

Earlier, Nepal Police issued a circular to police offices across the country to take action against the intermediaries, those who cause distress to citizens under various pretexts and engage in criminal activities.  (RSS)
