Agricultural products collection centre run in Kolti

 Bajura, April 6: The Budinanda Municipality in Bajura district has brought an Agricultural Products Collection Centre at Kolti.

The vegetables and fruits produced by farmers in the district would be kept for sales and distribution at Kolti bazaar in Budinanda Municipality-2. The centre has a cold storage facility, which will have stalls of vegetables and fruits grown in off-season too, Santosh Kumar Sah, the Acting Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality said.

The facility was developed in partnership with the municipality and GIZ, Mayor of Budhinanda Municipality Janak Kumar Bohara said. 

Mayor Bohara shared that the collection centre was built with the investment of Rs 6.89 million jointly by the municipality and GIZ. 

The collection centre and cold storage will receive potatoes, apples, oranges and other agricultural products grown by the farmers in the district, Mayor Bohara added.

Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives of Sudurpaschim Province, Bir Bahadur Thapa, marked the beginning of the collection centre. (RSS)
