Kathmandu, April 4: Preparations have been stepped up for organizing the '10th Bhaktapur Industrial, Cultural, Tourism, Agriculture and Trade Festival' on the occasion of the Nepali New Year 2083 and Biska Jatra.
The Industrial Peace Festival is being organized by Nepal and Madhyapur Boys Band and will take place from Chaitra 26 to the upcoming Baisakh 6 at Sallaghari, Bhaktapur.
Coordinator Deepak Thapa informed that the festival has been organized aiming at establishing Bhaktapur as a confluence of industry, culture, and agriculture.
He shared that preparations for the festival have been expedited. As stated, consumers will be able to easily access things ranging from daily necessities to essential materials in one place, while local products, industries, and businesses will be promoted through the festival.
There will be more than 180 stalls at the festival. These stalls will display and sell food items, clothing, footwear, agricultural and handicraft materials.
Additionally, industrial products, information technology, automobiles, agricultural tools, electronics, and mobile products will also be exhibited. As a special attraction of the festival, a replica (statue) of 'London Bridge' will be displayed.
The festival is expected to draw over 200,000 visitors and generate financial transaction worth amounting to Rs 50 million. (RSS)
