RSP's Aryal to get elected as HoR Speaker

Kathmandu, April 3: Only one candidate, vice president of the ruling Rastriya
Swatantra Party (RSP) Dol Prasad Aryal, has filed nomination for the post of
Speaker of the House of Representatives.
It is certain now that Aryal, a member of the HoR, will be elected unopposed as no other candidacy has been filed for the post within
the timeframe.
Candidacy registration time was set from 11 am to 2
pm today, according to the secretariat of the Federal Parliament. The election of HoR Speaker is set for April 5.
Formal Announcement on April 5
According to spokesperson of the Parliament, EKram
Giri, the proposal about Aryal's single candidacy for HoR Speaker will be
tabled in the HoR meeting to be held on April 5 as per the work schedule.
Following the presentation of their views by the
proposer and the supporter, declaration will be made about Aryal's election to the
post of HoR Speaker unopposed.
After the announcement, newly elected Speaker Aryal
will take oath of office and secrecy and then hold the responsibility of conducting
the HoR meetings.
