Kathmandu, March 29: Home Minister Sudan Gurung has instructed the National
Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Authority (NDRRMA) to keep necessary
human resource and equipment stand by for safety of people in the event of disaster.
"The most important duty of the government is
to save its citizen's life. Therefore, there is need to stay prepared to
counter any kinds of calamity," said Home Minister Gurung in discussion
with officials at the NDRRMA.
On the occasion, the Minister also viewed that
issues related to disaster should also be included in the syllabus of school as
well as college level education.
On the occasion, Dinesh Prasad Bhatta, chief
executive of the NDRRMA, briefed the Home Minister about the works of the
NDRRMA.
