Conducive environment needed to retain health workforce within country: Minister Mehata

Kathmandu, March 27: Newly-elected Minister for Health and Population, and Drinking Water Nisha Mehata has said that the country's health workforce should be encouraged to serve the nation. 

Assuming her office at the Ministry on Friday, Minister Mehata shared that the health workforce was flying abroad since the health workers were not encouraged in the country. "A conducive environment should be created to retain the workforce within the country; they should be encouraged," she added.

Likewise, Minister Mehata mentioned that the government will work to satisfy the workforce working in the health sector, adding that the people will get reliable services only if the workforce is satisfied. (RSS)
