Minister Chaulagain inspects Bheri Corridor

Kankrebihar (Surkhet), March 25: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Madhav Prasad Chaulagain, had a field monitoring of the Bheri Corridor. He began the inspection of the roadway from Pasagad of Bheri municipality-4 of Jajarkot district to Dunai, headquarters of Dolpa district.

During the inspection, the Minister found five motorable bridges left in limbo. The roadway, however, reached in final stage is being blacktopped in 56-km stretch.

He acquired information on the process of new contract for the road construction and blacktopping from Athbiskot-5 of Rukum Paschim to Tripurasundari municipality-1 of Dolpa. The Minister held a discussion recently with stakeholders from Tripurasundari municipality and Dolpa District Administration, according to Chief District Officer, Junu Hamal. 

Discussion was held on the decision taken to award a contract to construct Lyashikyap-Sishaul section under the Corridor in the upper Dolpa.(RSS)
