President Paudel observes ghode jatra

Kathmandu, March 18: President Ramchandra Paudel observed a special ceremony organized by the Nepal Army on the occasion of the Ghode Jatra 2082 at Sainik Manch Tundikhel today.

On that occasion, a contingent of the Nepal Army offered a salute in his honour.     

The ceremony was also attended by Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal, ministers, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions, and other high-ranking officials.     

On the occasion, Nepal Army teams performed equestrian art including horse racing, horse jumping, charger horse racing, historical use of horses, horse attacks, fire jumping, etc. were displayed at the ceremony.     

Pageantry of horse-drawn carriages, means of travel, agriculture, hunting, fighting, festivals, and sports were also displayed in the program. Various art forms were also performed by trained dogs.     

At the function, President Paudel presented awards to the best in the performances.(RSS)
