Inmate dies in course of treatment

By Raju Lamichhane, Rukum(Paschim), March 18: An inmate died after falling unconscious at the prison in Rukum (Paschim).

The deceased has been identified as Man Bahadur Buda, aged 59, of Banphikot Rural Municipality -10.

According to the District Police Office Rukum (Paschim), Buda suddenly lost consciousness at around 1:30 AM and was immediately taken to the District Hospital Salle for treatment.

Police said that he had been experiencing breathing difficulties.

Information Officer and Inspector Hari Prasad Pun said that doctors declared him dead during treatment at around 5 AM.

According to the hospital, Buda had been suffering from high blood pressure, respiratory problems and diabetes.

Police said that he had been serving a prison sentence in a homicide case.
