NOC urges public against hoarding on LPG

blog

Kathmandu, March 14: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has called on the public to purchase Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) only as needed, discouraging its unnecessary storage.

The NOC has also asked gas industries and sellers to prioritize the sale and distribution of LPG gas for household use.

In a press release issued today, the Corporation noted that despite the ongoing conflict in West Asia impacting the global supply of petroleum products and LPG gas, it continues to supply and distribute these products regularly.

NOC emphasized, "We request all gas industries nationwide to report to us by 10 am daily, providing details such as the quantity sold, addresses, and contact numbers of the sellers from their respective industries."

Furthermore, sellers are urged to keep records of the names and contact numbers of consumers, and quantities sold to them, and to relay this information to the Corporation through their respective industries each day.

The Corporation has also announced that, in light of the current circumstances, it has arranged for all gas industries to market/fill 7.1 kilogram LPG gas cylinders at a reduced price of Rs 955 per cylinder, effective from Friday, until further notice.(RSS)
